Zany New Gimmick Match Announced For AEW All Out

Following last night’s AEW Dynamite, a huge rematch has been set for AEW All Out on 5th September with a crazy new stipulation.

This week’s special Saturday night edition of AEW Dynamite was advertised to feature Orange Cassidy taking part in his first one on one in ring interview.

Whilst Cassidy did make it to the ring for said interview, he was soon interrupted by Chris Jericho who proposed a brand new gimmick match at AEW All Out to decide their trilogy of recent matches, currently balanced at one victory apiece.

The match, which Cassidy accepted will be a ‘Mimosa Mayhem’ match.

The rules of this match stipulate that the only ways to win are by pinfall, submission or by hurling your opponent into a giant vat of mimosa.

It is believed that this will be the first Mimosa Mayhem match in wrestling history. Reports that the gimmick was previously used in a match between Dr Death Steve Williams and Stan Hansen in a mid 1980s match in Osaka, Japan have been quickly dismissed.

For those of you who’s cocktail knowledge is less extensive than your wrestling knowledge, a mimosa (also known as Bucks Fizz in the UK) is a cocktail consisting of champagne and orange juice.

It is difficult to refer to a feud between two wrestlers with a blow off match based on each star’s signature drink, but it certainly fits these characters and this feud.

AEW All Out will take place on Saturday September 5th and will be headlined by an AEW Title match between Jon Moxley and MJF.
