Monday August 24th’s episode of WWE RAW averaged 2.028 million viewers, which is a huge improvement on previous weeks.
This is an increase in +23% on last week’s 1.643m rating and more significantly is the first time the show has broken the 2.0m barrier since the Raw after Wrestlemania 36.
As widely reported viewership has declined since WWE were forced to move to the performance centre, however this caps off a positive weekend for WWE.
There will be many factors driving the increase including a fantastic SummerSlam, the return of Roman Reigns to the company, the close proximity of the Payback PPV and perhaps most importantly the introduction of the ThunderDome.
SmackDown returns to the ThunderDome on Friday, where we will likely hear from Reigns and be just two days from WWE Payback. Will we see similar increases on the blue brand?
