Fans have not been in attendance at a WWE show now since before Wrestlemania 36 back in April. Since then, there has been a lot of speculation as to when fans will be allowed back in attendance and what it would look when that happens.

It was reported by PWInsider that the plan is to have fans appear remotely using giant screens around the ringside area. Thanks to WrestleVotes on Twitter, we now have a bit more information regarding this:

It seems the new technology will be in place when WWE move venue for their TV tapings from the Performance Centre to the Amway Centre in Orlando Florida. WrestleVotes also mentions that the initiative will be “hosted by Superstars & Legends”

It will be interesting to see how it will all look when in operation. Applications are said to soon be opening to be a part of the ‘crowd’

WWE are not the first company to use this method of having fans appear and create atmosphere, with the NBA also doing this at their games, insisting on fans wearing colours and merchandise for the teams involved and even involving a number of celebrity fans.
