With the overwhelming success of the recent Undertaker documentary series ‘The Last Ride’ on WWE Network, it was inevitable that WWE would look to capitalise on that success with further content. And we didn’t have to wait long.
‘The Last Ride: Tales From The Deadman’ drops on Sunday 19th July and WWE have now confirmed the format of the show, as well as a voice over from a genuine Hollywood star.
According to a WWE press release, the episode will feature ‘Taker telling anecdotes from his legendary career accompanied by animation and a voiceover from Emmy award nominated actor and producer, Timothy Olyphant.
The full blurb from WWE reads:
Get ready for some incredible behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the man himself, as Undertaker recalls stories about the origins of his character, his experience on an infamous plane ride, and even that time he fought The Godfather over a hat, all accompanied by never-before-seen animation.
Needless to say, we can’t wait for this. The Last Ride is the best non-wrestling programme WWE have ever produced by an enormous margin and the format for this extra episode sounds all kinds of fun.
Imagine the tales to tell! You could fill 10 of these episodes, never mind just one.
