Title Matches Called Off For Clash Of Champions?

It seems as if a lot of there are a lot of changes around tonight’s WWE pay-per-view, with two title matches being switched just hours before.

Earlier today Dave Meltzer said on the Wrestling Observer Radio that he’s not sure Bayley Vs Nikki Cross will go ahead at tonight’s Clash Of Champions PPV due to some rumours he’s heard about her not being at Smackdown on Friday.

PostWrestling has followed this up with something extra, saying that not only are they expecting Cross to be replaced in the championship match (it’s Clash Of Champions after all, surely it has to be still a title bout?) but they don’t believe that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax will defend against Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan at all. They report that they’ve been told this match is ‘off’.

WWE’s official Twitter account is still promoting both these matches for tonight, as recently as this evening. Seemingly this is all down to COVID so hopefully all superstars involved are healthy and well and will stay as such. We’ll bring you any updates we hear as soon as they’re announced although there’s a chance it won’t be until the event is underway.

There is also talk that the Asuka Vs Zelina Vega, which had originally been moved to the Kickoff Show, will now be on the main card. This seems like a story which will develop as the evening progresses.
