The Miz Stands By Claim He’ll Quit If He Doesn’t Headline Wrestlemania 37

Miz made quite the claim in February, and isn’t backing down…

The Miz has doubled down on a claim earlier this year that he will “quit” if he doesn’t headline Wrestlemania 37, set to take place next Spring.

The A-Lister posted on Instagram back in February, using a photo of himself with the Wrestlemania 37 logo along with the caption: “Wrestlemania is going Hollywood next year. If I don’t Main Event…I quit”

And this week, in an interview with ComicBook.com, the former WWE Champion showed no signs of budging on that statement:

“I make goals for myself that are sometimes, almost you look at and go ‘that’s unattainable.’ And every goal I’ve ever had, I’ve accomplished, and then some. And so this is a goal I have. This is a goal that I’ve set out to do. It’s a goal that I said, ‘I’m going to main event WrestleMania 37. That’s exactly where I need to be.’ And that’s what I plan on doing. There is no other options for me. That’s the option. That’s the way I shift my mind and I focus. It’s just the way I am. I make a goal for myself and I do everything in my power to achieve that goal. And I haven’t had a goal that I haven’t met.”

The Miz certainly sounds confident that he will be able to go to the main event. it would not be the first time either.

He main evented Wrestlemania 27 a decade prior to his WM37 target, where he successfully defended the WWE Championship against John Cena.

Wrestlemania 37 is nine months away, meaning that WWE have the time to build a story for The Miz… assuming that they do indeed decide to take another chance on him at the top.

Who would you like to see The Miz face at Mania, if this ambitious goal actually became reality?
