Segments Reportedly Scrapped From WWE Raw

A number of stars had action filmed for Raw Underground, however they’ll have to wait and see if the footage is used in the coming weeks.

It would appear that there was originally going to be far more Underground action on last night’s edition of WWE Raw than actually aired.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, segments involving the likes of former UFC competitor Jessamyn Duke, Angel Garza, Titus O’Neil, Dolph Ziggler, Riddick Moss and Marina Shafir were filmed, but didn’t make the final cut.

Fightful has learned that several WWE Raw Underground segments were scrapped last night without even being viewed.

The first featured UFC veteran Jessamyn Duke taking on an enhancement wrestler in a match that went about one minute. Duke received high praise for her striking in the segment, which didn’t end up airing. Following her win, Marina Shafir took on another enhancement wrestler.

Later, Titus O’Neil was given a spotlight on Raw Underground, which then evolved into Riddick Moss taking on Titus. Lastly, Ivar faced Dolph Ziggler, but Angel Garza got involved, which resulted in huge bumps everywhere.

We were not given a reason why the segments were scrapped.

Whether these were fully scrapped or have been saved for future weeks we will no doubt find out, but due to the recorded nature of Underground it may be that WWE felt it best to have extra footage in the can they can slot in during future episodes.
