Ryo Mizunami Wins AEW Women’s Tournament, Comes To Blows With Hikaru Shida

Hikaru Shida will put her AEW Women’s Championship on the line at Revolution, and she now knows who it will be against.

AEW Women's Championship Tournament

The winners of the American and Japanese brackets of the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament met on last night’s Dynamite.

Ryo Mizunami faced Nyla Rose, with the winner earning a shot at Hikaru Shida’s AEW Women’s Championship at Revolution this Sunday.

In what many will consider a shock, it was Mizunami who managed hit Rose with a spear and a guillotine leg drop to get the victory.

Shida was on hand to present the trophy to Mizunami – who made sure she fired the first shot at the title holder.

Shida wasn’t going to take this lying down, and the pair came to blows with the champion getting the slight advantage.

The pair will now at meet at Revolution, with the gold on the line.
