It has clearly been a difficult period for WWE getting all their television commitments filmed around the various restrictions and guidelines in place.
However, it would seem that now SmackDown has moved back to being live on a Friday night, one wrestler in particular isn’t best pleased with the disruption it is causing him.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting that AJ Styles is unhappy at being expected to work on Friday nights – although Meltzer is unimpressed by Styles’ take on this.
You talk about what kinda foresight is this when it’s like you throw a tantrum which basically he did that you’ve got to get off RAW and go to SmackDown and now you’re on SmackDown which tapes every Friday night and now you’re mad that you’re missing your son’s high school football games because they’re on Friday Nights.
When AJ Styles was moved from Raw to SmackDown, it was at a time during the pandemic where the blue brand were filming on a Tuesday.
We will wait to hear if ‘The Phenomenal One’ responds to these claims, especially as he seems to have been very vocal on current issues as of late.
