It’s no surprise that wrestling fans are now clamouring to get back to live shows, and in particular WWE WrestleMania 37.
The event will now take place at the Raymond James Stadium, and a new report claims that the company are looking for a record pandemic era stadium attendance.
Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 claims he has independently verified that WWE are aiming to have 45,000 fans in the stadium each night.
The continues that the Florida governor Ron DeSantis has signed an executive order allowing stadiums to run at a full capacity, however it’s no surprise that nobody has run an event on this scale yet.
This would be a huge increase on capacity we’ve seen from any sporting event – for context, the SuperBowl was attended by 24,835 fans.
Tickets for the event go on sale this Tuesday.
WWE WrestleMania 37 takes place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on April 10th and 11th, and we’ll be providing full coverage on Hooked On Wrestling.
