Whilst it has been heavily rumoured for some time, PWInsider is reporting that former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie has signed a contract with WWE and is expected to begin working in NXT shortly.

Valkyrie actually holds the record for the longest Knockouts title run of all time. Her 377 day reign ended at the hands of Jordynne Grace in January 2020.

Valkyrie left Impact Wrestling last month after the expiry of her contract and was widely reported to be joining WWE, who also have her husband John Morrison under contract.

Valkyrie is expected to be announced as part of the next intake of Performance Center inductees in the coming days or weeks. She will join a women’s division considered to be amongst the best in NXT history at present.
