Report: Extreme Rules Card To Undergo Drastic Changes?

According to reports, the recent COVID-19 outbreak within WWE has seen forthcoming plans thrown into chaos. Not least those for the Extreme Rules PPV.

With the recent COVID-19 outbreak within the WWE crew, it seems plans for forthcoming television have been thrown into chaos – including those for Extreme Rules on Sunday July 19th.

It seems all plans as pertains television are up in the air at the moment in WWE with multiple reports saying the number confirmed cases of the virus is in “the two dozen range”

Ringside News have now reported that the plans for the PPV, subtitled The Horror Show could see significant changes to the original plans.

They quote an anonymous source as simply saying”

“It’s hard for anyone outside of here to understand how f*cked up everything is and how fast things got f*cked up.”

The card is, of course, always subject to change. It is not clear exactly which matches will need to be changed and what the show will look like from a viewer standpoint.

We will provide more information as the story develops. The announced card at the moment only features 4 matches so far and is as follows:

  • WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre vs Dolph Ziggler
  • Raw Women’s Championship: Asuka vs Sasha Banks
  • Smackdown Women’s Championship: Bayley vs Nikki Cross
  • Swamp Fight (Non Title): Braun Strowman vs Bray Wyatt
