Martha Hart, widow of the late Owen Hart, announced she will be releasing new and official merchandise in honour of the former multi-time Intercontinental and tag team champion.
In an interview with Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho, Martha revealed t-shirts with Owen’s likeness are on their way following next week’s premiere of Vice’s ‘Dark Side Of The Ring: The Last Days Of Owen Hart’ in which she appears.
The episode is the season two finale of the popular series.
Martha has been against allowing WWE to put Owen in their Hall of Fame or release any merchandise of their own.
She filed a wrongful death lawsuit against WWE in 2000, through which she gained approximately $18 million and which helped launch the Owen Hart Foundation.
She would later go on to file another lawsuit against WWE in 2013 for use of Owen’s likeness in a DVD release, which was settled in court.
All funds from new merchandise sales will go toward The Owen Hart Foundation.
