It is seemingly a week for wrestling authority figures to promise big announcements.
On the same night that Tony Khan promised a ‘huge, huge’ signing will debut at the Revolution PPV, NXT General Manager William Regal has promised that he will make an announcement on next Wednesday’s show that will ‘change the face of NXT’
The proclamation came in the aftermath of the tag team title match that saw NXT’s Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez challenge Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
The match ended in controversy when a referee bump saw WWE authority figure Adam Pearce hit the ring with a referee in tow to count the pin and give the unjust victory to the champions.
Regal was livid with Pearce, who we normally see on Raw and SmackDown. it seems the announcement Regal makes will have a direct relationship with the goings on of the main roster. But what could it be?
Could the NXT TakeOver planned for April have some sort of NXT vs main roster theme?
Maybe it has something to do with the rumoured move to Tuesday nights?
We will find out in a few short days on the same night that Finn Balor will defend his NXT Championship in a blockbuster main event.
