NJPW Unveil New IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Belt

Take a first look at NJPW’ brand-new unified IWGP World Heavyweight Championship belt.

A few weeks ago NJPW announced they would be unifying the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.

The first new title holder – and last double champion – is Kota Ibushi.

Today, the new unified IWGP World Heavyweight Championship belt was unveiled.

Ibushi will defend the new IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on 4th April at Sakura Genesis, where he will face New Japan Cup 2021 winner Will Ospreay.
