Matt Hardy was busted open in a significant way on last night on AEW’s Dynamite at the hands of The Spanish God Sammy Guevara.

Hardy who was feuding with Guevara before his recent suspension was cutting a promo on why he came to AEW. One of the reasons was to share his experience with up and coming stars such as Guevara who refused Hardy’s advice to step away from the likes of Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle.

During the promo Guevara attacked Hardy from behind, and they both brawled through the ringside area where Hardy bodyslammed Guevara through the ring announcer’s table.  The Spanish God was able to recover and pushed Hardy into a ringpost, and threw a chair into Hardy’s face which opened him up.

The Spanish God fled the scene leaving Hardy soaked in blood, and needed several stitches to close up the wound. The crimson mess which Hardy was covered in left a very powerful visual to re-ignite this promising feud.

It is fair to say that the blood-letting was planned as it took no time at all for ShopAEW.com to advertise a new ‘I Don’t Die’ t-shirt for Hardy featuring bloodstains heavily.
