Keith Lee Files To Trademark Name As WWE’s Filing Set To Be Cancelled

It would seem Keith Lee will be able to bask in the glory of owning his name rather than WWE having the rights.

It would seem that WWE could have another logistical headache going in to the new year.

Heel By Nature are reporting that WWE’s attempt to trademark the name Keith Lee is set to be cancelled, and the man himself has applied for it.

WWE’s original application has been on hold due to their application not having a consent form signed by Lee.

The company has seemingly been told the application will be abandoned if consent is not given by 30th December.

In the meantime, Lee has filed for the name himself.

Lee made the filing on 18th December and included the consent form.

It would therefore seem likely that Lee will own the name, which could cause issues when on screen.

There is also a similar case with his partner Mia Yim, who filed for her own ring name in October.

However, this is currently less of an issue with Yim going by the name Reckoning as part of Retribution.
