Hair vs. Hair Match Confirmed For SummerSlam

As expected, a new match for WWE SummerSlam was confirmed on this week’s SmackDown as Mandy Rose will face Sonya Deville in a hair vs. hair match.

Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose

A feud that has been brewing since before WrestleMania will come to a head at SummerSlam when Mandy Rose faces Sonya Deville in a hair vs. hair match.

The partnership between the two collapsed when it was revealed Deville had been manipulating Rose to keep her away from the course of true love with Otis.

Since then, the two have been at each other’s throats, with the rivalry peaking when Deville viciously attacked her rival and cut off her hair.

This led to Rose challenging her nemesis to a hair vs. hair match that was eventually accepted and the two will now clash in the first WWE women’s match with this stipulation since Victoria vs. Molly Holly at WrestleMania XX in 2004.

In addition to this match, SmackDown also saw Bayley vs. Asuka added to the card in match for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Title.

The event, which will take place at the Amway Center in Orlando is shaping up to be a sneaky good card.

The event will take place on Sunday August 23rd and will be broadcast on the WWE Network. In addition, we will be hosting a pre-SummerSlam online extravaganza in order to raise funds for the Cauliflower Alley Club on our Facebook and YouTube pages. See this page for details and join us on the night for the free event.
