Having debuted a couple of weeks ago and instantly gone after Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace, it has now been confirmed that Deonna Purrazzo will get a shot at the title at Slammiversary.
The announcement came after this week’s Impact, where The Virtuosa made her in-ring debut and defeated Alisha.
Following the contest title-holder Grace tried to storm the ring and get some revenge on Purrazzo, who had put her in an armbar the last two weeks, but The Virtuosa made a swift retreat.
The contest was confirmed for Slammiversary, taking place on 18th July, shortly afterwards.
This is the second match confirmed, alongside Tessa Blanchard putting the Impact Wrestling World Championship on the line against Eddie Edwards, Ace Austin, Trey, and Michael Elgin.
The contest may change, however, following Elgin’s recent suspension.
