A former WWE superstar made their Impact Wrestling at last night’s Hard To Kill PPV in an unadvertised match that may be the start of a long term run with the promotion.

Last night, Impact Wrestling presented their Hard To Kill PPV from Nashville with AEW Champion Kenny Omega making his highly anticipated Impact debut in the main event.

This was not the only debut of the night, as it transpires, as a long time WWE superstar Matt Cardona took part in an impromptu match.

The debut occurred after Ace Austin came to the ring and demanded to be named number one contender for the X-Division Championship.

Impact executive Scott D’Amore refused his request and instead informed him he would be facing a match tonight, and introduced the debuting Cardona as his opponent.

The former Zack Ryder hit the ring and took the victory via disqualification.

No word on whether Cardona plans to lay down long term roots in Impact but it feels like a good pairing that should allow Cardona the run at the top end of the card he richly deserves.
