Footballer Adebayo Akinfenwa Holds Talks With WWE

Wycombe Wanderers football and FIFA Soccer cult hero Adebayo Akinfenwa has revealed he has held further talks with WWE about joining the group.

Move over Brock Lesnar, a new Beast might be on his way to WWE!

Adebayo Akinfenwa has long been a cult hero for football fans. A longtime lower league journeyman, he has come to prominence in recent years due to his social media posts showing off his workouts and his rating as the strongest player on the FIFA series of football games.

A long time football fan, the 38-year old Wycombe Wanderers player may be considering a new career in the squared circle as he has revealed to TalkSPORT that he has held another round of talks with WWE regarding a change of career. He revealed:

“I’ve had a couple of calls recently in regards to that,” the Football League star said. “I’ll be following up on that soon – so it could go up or down depending on the outcome of that. I can’t tell you a direct percentage in terms of that [coming to fruition], but it’s something I’m really passionate about, so watch this space, people.”

Having previously played for Torquay United, Swansea City, Millwall, Northampton Town, Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon, the bulky footballer is a self confessed wrestling fan with a huge personality and even bigger work ethic. It is not hard to imagine him being a genuinely interesting addition to WWE’s development system.
