Final Of This Year’s NJPW G1 Climax Tournament Confirmed

Both blocks of NJPW’s G1 Climax tournament were stacked this year, but we now know who will square off in tomorrow’s final.

The final of the 30th G1 Climax will take place tomorrow at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo, and the two competitors are now set.

Kota Ibushi will take on SANADA, with the winner of the tournament traditionally going on to NJPW Wrestle Kingdom in January to main event for the IWGP World Championship.

If this format is stuck to and he retains the title until then, Ibushi or SANADA would be set to face current title-holder Tetsuya Naito.

Ibushi bested Block A of the tournament with a 7-2 record, topping out with 14 points, whilst SANADA won Block B by defeating EVIL today as the pair were tied on 12 points.
