Daniel Cormier: “I’d love a Royal Rumble Moment”

Fresh off what may have been his final UFC bout, Daniel Cormier could finally be ready to trade the octagon for the squared circle.

Following his loss to Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight Championship in the main event of UFC 252 on Saturday August 15th Daniel Cormier spoke to Sports Illustrated about a role in WWE.

After Saturday’s event, DC took to Instagram to confirm this was his last fight and looking to the future he revealed working with the WWE is still on his bucket list.

Cormier is a huge WWE fan and rumours of him working with the company have surfaced previously.

When asked about the possibility Cormier said:

“That’s not my retirement, that would be a vacation”

Sports Illustrated went on to suggest a Royal Rumble appearance would be beneficial to both him and the WWE to which Cormier replied:

“I’d love a Royal Rumble moment where I throw a dude into the ropes and I clothesline his ass over the top, or I dropkick somebody over the top rope. Let me chase somebody down, clothesline him with a Bradshaw Layfield clothesline from hell and eliminate somebody from the Royal Rumble, then throw me over the top. Pro wrestling? I’m all in.”

We’d love to see DC enter the Rumble next year, but Daniel, if you are dropping by in January, why don’t you stick around for Wrestlemania? Don’t you and Brock have some unfinished business to attend to?
