Following a pair of nasty injuries on this week’s AEW Dynamite, two stars have been removed from the card for this weekend’s Double Or Nothing PPV.

The most serious of those injuries is that suffered by Britt Baker in her match teaming with AEW Nyla Rose, taking on Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida.

She is suspected to have suffered a torn ACL which could lead to between 6-9 months out of action.

The timing is incredibly unfortunate for Baker. After a rocky start in AEW, to say the least, the real life dentist (Has anyone mentioned that on air yet?) was coming in to her own as a sanctimonious heel.

She will be replaced in her match on the PPV with Statlander by Penelope Ford.

Ray Fenix was also injured on Wednesday night but his injury is thought to be more minor in nature. He was seen to go down clutching his leg during the show but reports had suggested he would be good to go for Double Or Nothing.

According to a tweet overnight by AEW, this is not the case. Whilst he isn’t expected to be out for significant time, Fenix’s spot in tonight’s Casino Ladder Match will be taken by Joey Janela.

Whilst the timing of these injuries is hugely unfortunate for two stars on the rise in the company, the impact on the card looks minimal and the highly anticipated event will be broadcast live from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. UK fans can watch it on FITE.tv. You can read the Hooked On Wrestling roundtable preview of the event here.
