AJ Styles Doesn’t Expect WWE Events Outside Florida Until 2021

It seems like the uncertainty about WWE locations reaches beyond SummerSlam, as ‘The Phenomenal One’ feels like there won’t be anything outside the Performance Centre before next year.

AJ Styles has been extremely outspoken on Twitch recently, including openly accusing Dixie Carter of ruining TNA Wrestling.

In a recent stream, he has discussed his expectations for upcoming events including SummerSlam, and doesn’t feel they’ll move away from the Performance Centre this year.

I have no idea what’s going on with SummerSlam or where it’s gonna be, if it’s going to be at the PC or if we’re actually going to get to do this. If I’m a betting man, I bet that we don’t do anything until 2021 outside the Performance Center. I could be wrong; I hope I’m wrong, but just based on everything and how everything is going on, it would surprise me if we did.

It is certainly interesting that superstars are still in the dark as to where SummerSlam will be held, despite confirmation it wouldn’t be in Boston as previously arranged.

WWE brass would likely prefer in-ring talent like Styles to refrain from commenting on the return of crowds to live events. Management reportedly remain keen to bring fans back as soon as possible and any doubt cast on the return of crowds in 2020 from an internal and high profile source will surely be frowned upon.
