It has become common for AEW to use talent on-screen for a few weeks or months before signing them to a full contract.
This has been the case with Matt Sydal, however the company have now confirmed he’s ‘All Elite’.
Sydal debuted for the company as the mystery competitor in the Casino Battle Royale at this year’s All Out.
That night he made his now famous slip on the top rope going for the Shooting Star Press, but has moved on from that quickly.
I did not do this alone. My hard work only worked because of the support I get from my family, friends and fans! 20 years of people helping, teaching and believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you all. Whilst his appearances since then have been a mix of appearances on Dynamite and Dark, it would seem he will now be a more permanent fixture in the company.
