On last night’s ‘AEW Dynamite: Beach Break’ the collective jaws of the wrestling world dropped when NJPW star KENTA showed up after the six-man tag main event to attack IWGP United States Champion, Jon Moxley.
The two are slated to go head to head on 26th February at NJPW: New Beginning USA 2021 for Moxley’s title.
This won’t be the next time they meet in the ring though as it has been confirmed that next week on Dynamite, KENTA will team up with AEW World Champion Kenny Omega to face Moxley and former IWGP US champ, Lance Archer in a Lights Out match.

It is truly staggering to see a bonafide NJPW superstar competing on AEW programming. Add in the various crossovers with Impact Wrestling and the presence of NWA contracted competitors across AEW and it becomes clear Tony Khan is looking to make his promotion a true meeting pot for talent from promotions all over the world.
We can’t wait to see these four tear it up next week. The intrigue over just who will show up next will surely stand AEW in good stead when competing for ratings in the future.
