1988 – The WWFs weekly Madison Square Garden Show took place in New York. Demolition (Ax and Smash) retained their tag team belts against the Rockers (Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty) by pinfall and elsewhere on the card the Blue Blazer (Owen Hart) defeated the ‘Brooklyn Brawler’ Steve Lombardi. The WWF World Heavyweight Title was kept by Randy Savage after Andre The Giant lost the match via disqualification.

1993 – WCW Halloween Havoc took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The main event saw Vader defeat Cactus Jack in a Texas Deathmatch. The only title change on the card saw The Nasty Boys defeat Marcus Bagwell and 2 Cold Scorpio to win the WCW Tag Team Titles.

1998 – In Cleveland, Ohio, The Dudley Boys (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von) took the ECW Tag Team titles from Rob Van Dam and Sabu making themselves tag team champions for the fourth time.

1999 – WCW PPV Halloween Havoc was held in the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas.

  • Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) won the tag team belts for the third WCW PPV in a row to become 10 time Tag Team champions.
  • Later on Sting retained his WCW World Heavyweight Title against Hulk Hogan in just three seconds (the time it takes to pin someone) after Hogan laid down in the ring.
  • In possibly the best match of his WCW career, Sid Vicious lost his WCW United States Championship to Goldberg after the referee stopped the match.
  • For the main event Sting issued an open challenge which the announcers said was non-title, and the challenge was answered by new United States champion, Goldberg. A few minutes later following a Spear and a Jackhammer, Goldberg pinned Sting and was given the belt then announced as the new WCW Champion. An irate Sting then hit the referee with his Scorpion Death Drop move. The following night on Nitro it would be announced that the match had been non-title but due to Sting attacking the referee the belt would be declared vacant.
