1976 – The man who would go on to become Hulk Hogan has his first professional wrestling match against B. Brian Blair.
1992 – Big Van Vader defeats Riki Chosu at an NJPW event in Tokyo to win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He would go on to hold the belt for 374 days.
1996 – The recently formed New World Order made their presence felt at WCW Hog Wild where Hollywood Hulk Hogan defeated The Giant for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The Outsiders Scott Hall and Kevin Nash faced Sting and Lex Luger, Harlem Heat squared off against The Steiner Brothers for the WCW Tag Team Titles, and Ric Flair defended the US title against Eddie Guerreo.
2008 – Samoa Joe defeated Booker T in a Steel Cage Weapons match to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Hard Justice in Trenton, New Jersey. The event also marked the beginning of a return angle for Jeff Jarrett who had not been active in the company for fifteen months.
2019 – Adam Cole defeated Johnny Gargano in a two-out-of-three falls match to retain the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: Toronto. Also Shayna Baszler, Velveteen Dream, and the Street Profits retained their respective NXT championships.
